The Jacksonville Jaguars elevated quarterback Nick Mullens and linebacker Jalen McLeod from the practice squad to the active roster via standard elevation for the following game, the team announced Sept. 19, 2026.
The announcement did not identify Jacksonville’s opponent or provide the game’s date. Mullens is listed as the No. 14 quarterback, while McLeod is listed as the No. 35 linebacker.
Nick Mullens adds NFL experience
Mullens, 31, was elevated to Jacksonville’s active roster in Week 1 and spent the 2025 season with the Jaguars. He originally signed with San Francisco as an undrafted rookie in 2017 and has played in 39 career games, including 20 starts.
Mullens played for San Francisco from 2017-20, Cleveland in 2021, Minnesota from 2022-24 and Jacksonville from 2025-26. He has completed 533 of 808 passes for 6,448 yards, 34 touchdowns and an 88.3 passer rating during his NFL career.
The Hoover, Ala., native attended Southern Mississippi from 2013-16. He was named the 2015 Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year and set Southern Mississippi single-season records that year with 4,476 passing yards and 38 touchdown passes.
Mullens is listed at 6 feet and 210 pounds.
Jalen McLeod elevated after 2025 injured-reserve season
McLeod, 24, spent the 2025 season on injured reserve before Jacksonville elevated him from the practice squad. The Jaguars originally drafted him in the sixth round, 194th overall, of the 2025 draft.
McLeod attended Appalachian State from 2020-22 and Auburn from 2023-24. He set career highs at Auburn in 2024 with 57 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and 8.0 sacks in 12 games.
The Washington, D.C., native is listed at 6 feet 1 inch and 236 pounds.
