The Pensacola Blue Wahoos defeated the Biloxi Shuckers 7-2 Thursday night in Pensacola, Florida, behind a victory from Luis Moreno and home runs by Aiva Arquette and Max Williams. The win moved Pensacola to 78-56 overall and 42-23 in the second half.
The Blue Wahoos scored twice in the second inning. Ethan O’Donnell reached on a hit-by-pitch with two outs, and Payton Green followed with a run-scoring double. Emaarion Boyd then singled home Green to give Pensacola a 2-0 lead.
Arquette extended the advantage in the third inning with his 10th home run of the season, a solo shot against Biloxi starter Jaron DeBerry.
