Aldo Gaxiola homered for the fourth consecutive game, but the Dunedin Blue Jays had their five-game winning streak snapped in a 7-1 loss to the Palm Beach Cardinals on Aug. 26 at TD Ballpark in Dunedin, Florida. The game was the second of a six-game set.
Gaxiola went 1-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored. His solo home run came in the second inning, traveled 107.4 mph and went 412 feet to put the Dunedin Blue Jays on the board.
Gaxiola became the first player in the FSL to homer in four straight games this season. He also became the first Dunedin Blue Jay to homer in four straight games during the Class-A era and the first Blue Jay since Brad Glenn in 2011 to accomplish the feat.
Gaxiola has homered in five of his last seven contests. Across 16 August games, he is batting .357 with six home runs, 16 RBI and a 1.163 OPS. His 16 home runs this season are tied for fifth in the FSL and tied for fourth in the Blue Jays farm system, making him the first Blue Jay to reach 16 home runs in a season since Arjun Nimmala in 2024.
Sann Omosako makes Class-A debut
Right-hander Sann Omosako made his Class-A debut and pitched four innings for the Dunedin Blue Jays. He allowed one run, no earned runs and one hit while issuing no walks and recording seven strikeouts. Omosako retired the final 12 batters he faced in order.
Giaconino Lasaracina also homered for the Dunedin Blue Jays, going 1-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. His solo home run in the sixth inning was his eighth with Dunedin and his 14th overall this season. Lasaracina has homered four times in his last five games and is batting .308 with five home runs and 10 RBI across 11 August games.
