The Pensacola Blue Wahoos lost 10-0 to the Montgomery Biscuits on Aug. 26, 2026, in Montgomery, Al. Luis Moreno allowed a career-high eight walks, a season high for an individual Pensacola pitcher. The loss dropped Pensacola to 70-51 overall and 34-18 in the second half.
Walks Put Pensacola in an Early Hole
Moreno walked three batters in the first inning, one in the second and four in the third. The three first-inning walks and four hits helped Montgomery score four runs. The Biscuits added three runs in the third inning to take a 7-0 lead.
Moreno finished with 2.2 innings, allowing five hits and seven runs while issuing eight walks and recording three strikeouts. Tristan Stevens followed with 2.1 scoreless innings and struck out three. Logan Whitaker and Josh Hejka combined to pitch the final three innings, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk.
Pensacola Manages Three Hits
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos recorded three hits in the loss. Aiva Arquette, Fenwick Trimble and Colby Shade each recorded one hit. Garrett Edwards earned the win for the Montgomery Biscuits.
Montgomery improved to 63-59 overall and 28-25 in the second half. Pensacola’s magic number fell to 11 after the Clingstones lost in Chattanooga. The Blue Wahoos will continue their series with the Montgomery Biscuits on Thursday night.
